Mya's Story

Rescued from a feral colony as a feral kitten at 3 months old, now around 2 years old. Has socialized very well and now loves being pet. Always at your feet and rubbing on your legs. Always wants attention. All around sweet girl. Can be picked up but does not like it Loves other cats. Not tested with young kids. Dogs unknown but can be tested. Still shy around strangers.

Preference to be adopted with a sibling/friend in rescue (many) or to a home with another cat.

Note: Mya has special needs (mild CH). She is a bit wobbly but has no problem using a litter box, can go up and down stairs and even can jump up and off cat climbers. Will require home with cat experience.

**If interested in adopting, applicants must fill out an application here: https://forms.gle/4SPPziT3E6yXJcY6A ; Please review our detailed adoption procedures here: https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/ct/plainville/fur-gotten-tails-animal-rescue-ct532/. Fur-Gotten Tails Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
*All cats listed online are considered available, however, there may be other applications in for them/pending meet and greets/have special adoption requirements/etc. *We do out of state adoptions, within reason. (Please note: We do not have any public phone number at this time). *Adoption donation fees range from $100-$350. All adoptable pets receive full vet checks and include fiv/felv testing, spay/neuter at earliest 6 months of age, purevax rabies vaccine (if healthy), are flea checked and dewormed. *Note: We do not have a vaccine or flea/tick/HW prevention requirement to adopt. We do not adopt to first time pet owners. A vet reference is required. Adoption Process: Step #1) Submit application for adoption at the following link: https://forms.gle/4SPPziT3E6yXJcY6A. Please answer ALL questions thoroughly. We take our application very seriously. Missing/incomplete/1 word responses will not be processed. If your application was successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Step #2) If we feel we have a potential match, we will contact you via email as soon as we can to discuss further details. (Note: If you do not hear from us within 14 days or so, we do not feel we have a potential match for your home at this time. We do not deny applicants/provide status updates/etc., as we have minimal volunteers. Please do not bombard us with emails asking for updates). Step #3) We will verify your vet and personal references. Please be patient. A phone interview may also occur during this time. Please contact your vet asap and let them know we will be emailing them for a record review. In most cases, we require a physical vet record review so please make your vet aware that is how will likely do our vet check. Step #4) We will contact you for a meet and greet at a foster home. Remaining adoption procedures will be discussed during this time. A home visit will be performed on the day of adoption, though may occur prior to the day of adoption depending on the case. *Thank you for your understanding during this time! No exceptions to our policies will be made, unless otherwise discussed.
