Mushu's Story

Meet Mushu - Gentle, Thoughtful, and Sweet. Mushu is Remi's brother, and while they share the same sweet heart, Mushu is a bit more reserved and thoughtful. He takes his time getting comfortable in new environments but once he feels safe, his gentle and affectionate nature begins to shine. Mushu enjoys quiet playtime, lounging near his humans, and observing the world around him with curious eyes. He's not the first to rush into a new situation, but he's always watching, learning, and slowly gaining confidence with every interaction. He would do wonderfully in a calm, patient home--especially with a friendly feline companion to help show him the ropes (maybe even his brother, Remi!). Mushu is currently at our Punta Mita, Mexico shelter, and can be adopted locally or flown to approved homes in the U.S. or Canada through our Flight Angel program. If you're looking for a kitten with a quiet soul, kind eyes, and lots of love to give on his own timeline, Mushu might be the perfect addition to your family. Wet Noses Rescue's Adoption Policy

First, adopters must fill out our online application at wetnosesrescue.org. If approved, there is a phone interview and virtual home check. We are a shelter based in Punta de Mita, Mexico, and also operate in San Diego. We understand that it can be challenging to meet our animals in person due to the distance. However, we have a process in place to ensure a smooth adoption experience. Most of our animals are located at our shelter in Punta de Mita. We frequently arrange transportation for our animals up the West Coast of the USA (San Francisco, Seattle, etc.) and the Western Provinces of Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, etc.). To help you get a better sense of the animals, we can offer additional photos, videos, and even schedule video calls. Please see our Google Reviews (https://goo.gl/maps/aDbyG4vW9YWNTs4d7) for some of our adoptive families' experiences. We are a volunteer run organization, and a flight angel would accompany them. This area is a touristy area, and many people like to volunteer in various ways to support the community, and especially support the neglected animals finding good homes. To secure flights, it generally takes us between 1-4 weeks once an animal is ready to go home.
