This gorgeous young lady is our friend, Muffin. Muffin came to us through no fault of her own, but only after her owner's health declined and they were no longer able to care for her. This little beauty has an estimated birthdate of 5/19/24, so she's just a year and a half old. This catwalk queen was a stressed out girl since initially coming to us, but has quickly let her guard down and routinely seeks out love and attention from our staff and volunteers. Muffin is a playful and fun-filled young gal, but she can have a bit of a sassy streak at times. Muffin was adopted from us as a solo kitten and didn't get all of the socialization that she could have used, and sometimes she has a hard time expressing herself and can get a bit "swatty". She's doing better each day, especially with those that take their time with her and read her social ques. She really is a darling little gal, but will need for her people to have patience with her as she acclimates to her new surroundings. When given love and slow hand movements, she adores head pets and cheek scratches, and will return affection in the form of head boops and purrs. Muffin's favorite treats are Greenies, so that will be a quick way to gain her undying love and affection! Muffin has met other cats since coming to us and she is definitely interested in them, but hasn't been given a ton of opportunity to mingle with them or socialize out of cage. That will come, but right now she is new to us, and we want to take things slowly. It was reported by her previous owner that she isn't a big dog fan, but we don't know how the dog treated her, or the circumstances surrounding their exposure. Most cats are fine with dogs who are gentle, cat-friendly and give them space. She likely would not be a fan of a dog who didn't give her space, as she is definitely a young lady who knows what she likes! She is reported to be good with older kids, and we would agree that she is likely best with kids who are 6+. Miss Muffin is a kitty with a gorgeous, long coat, that will require care and a lifetime of brushing. Please keep this in mind if you are considering this catwalk queen!
