Muffin's Story

Meet Muffin! After Muffin’s owner passed away, he was left outdoors until a kind neighbor stepped in and brought him to us. While he isn’t aggressive, he is quite shy and will need a patient, loving person to help him come out of his shell. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV/FeLV.

Muffin is a gentle, sensitive soul who has had a tough start. After his owner passed away, he was left to fend for himself outside, and that experience has made him understandably shy with new people and situations. Despite his timidity, Muffin has a sweet side that shines through once he feels safe.

He would do well in a quiet, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and receive plenty of extra love and TLC. Muffin enjoys his little catnip toys and is especially fond of wet food, which is a great way to win his trust. He allows gentle pets and is making progress every day, but he’ll need an understanding adopter who can give him the time and calm environment he needs to truly blossom.

If you'd like to meet Muffin you can email us at animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov or call (540) 778-2101.
