Mufasa's Story
Meet Mufasa.

This captivating boy had been lovingly cared for until room opened up at our shelter. Simba, along with his brothers, Simba and Zazu, were found abandoned, scared, and alone as young kittens. Taken in by a good Samaritan, they grew up in safety and love. Mufasa and his brothers were raised by a single mama. Initially, they were all a little shy when they first met hoomans, but at our shelter, they have all settled in and warmed up. The three of them love laser light, cat trees, and the exercise wheel! The funniest part about all three of them is the desire to drape themselves across any and everything. They are so relaxed, they hang like wet noodles and our staff / volunteers just love it!

Mufasa is a happy, playful, quirky, silly, affectionate and friendly kitten and is the largest of the three. All are solid black, but Mufasa has a touch of white on his chest and is the most outgoing of the three. Just like his namesake, he is brave and beautiful and accepting of affection from humans and other kitties. Mufasa (and his brothers) will do well in your home, preferably with a kitty or pup companion.

If looking for an awesome kitten (or two, or three, which is always preferred), please submit an application for Mufasa online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area.

We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
