Muddy's Story
Meet Muddy! Our Muddy buddy came to us via our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program. He had to stay an extra week after being fixed because of some eye issues, and after letting him hang out with us for that long, we just couldn't bear to put him back. He has the most pitiful face, and definitely used it to his advantage to convince us to keep him. Muddy is extremely sweet and affectionate. We have to be very careful closing his kennel, because he will literally put his neck on the line to try and get one last pet. He loves making biscuits on any available soft surface, human or otherwise.

Muddy is a chonker, and as such is extremely food-motivated. He must have been a hobbit in a past life, because he is all about second breakfast - and third, and fourth. He will cry pitifully to let us know he is just wasting away. (Definitely not 13+lbs, no sir.) More than once, he has even sat on his food bowl to make it look like he didn't have one and missed a meal. He WILL turn his sweet eyes on us and beg us into submission.

Muddy is FIV+. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives, if kept indoors and up-to-date on their vetting. He would be fine living with FIV- cats if they are relaxed and not territorial. Muddy won't start fights, but he will respond to aggression in kind. We think he would be fine with children. He has not been tested with dogs.

Muddy is estimated to be 6 years old as of October 2025. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, his adoption fee is $10.60.

If you are interested in adopting this particular dog or puppy, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
