I got along well with the other cats and even enjoyed playing with them, but I wasn't much of a fighter. A few tomcats in the area made life pretty tough for me, and thankfully, a kind person noticed. They started leaving food out for me, and little by little, I learned to trust them. Once I realized I was safe, I transformed into the biggest lover boy.<br/><br/>When my person had to move away, they couldn't bear to leave me behind, so they made sure I got my chance at a better life. Coming into the shelter was a little overwhelming, and like most animals, I was scared at first. With time, patience, and lots of gentle love, my true personality started to shine.<br/><br/>I'm still a little shy when meeting new people, but once you earn my trust, I absolutely melt. I live for head rubs, ear scratches, and making the biggest biscuits you've ever seen. Seriously...I'm a professional! And if you pull out a toy, you'll get to see my playful, goofy side come to life.<br/><br/>I've done well with other cats and would likely enjoy a friendly feline companion. I've never lived with dogs, and while my first dog introduction wasn't successful, I was still very scared and decompressing, so a slow, respectful retest could always be considered. Because I can be a little reserved at first, I'd probably do best with older children who understand that trust takes time.<br/><br/>It's hard to believe I was once a colony cat because all I really want now is to be close to my people. I'm neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped, and more than ready to find the forever family I've always deserved.<br/><br/>All I ask is a little patience in the beginning. I promise the sweet, affectionate, biscuit-making boy waiting underneath is so worth it
