Mr. Marbles's Story
Meet Mr. Marbles – The Soft-Spoken Street King Turned Sweetest Houseguest ?

For almost two years, Mr. Marbles roamed the neighborhood with quiet dignity and a few feline companions by his side. It took his foster mom over a year—and a whole lot of patience and love—to earn his trust. But once he decided to come inside, this former stray never looked back.

Now, four months into the good life, Mr. Marbles is thriving. He's completely litter trained (just one tiny accident early on), incredibly gentle, and endlessly sweet. He purrs like a little engine, kneads biscuits constantly, and has slowly begun leaning into indoor cat comforts—especially soft blankets, quiet corners, and cozy hidey houses.

Due to his life outdoors, Mr. Marbles had to have some dental work done and lost a few of his bigger front teeth. That doesn’t slow him down one bit! In fact, he’s so polite and trusting that he’ll eat kibble right out of your hand with the gentlest nibbles you’ve ever felt. He lives for food and especially loves Churus and Purr Pops.

Though still on the shy side and not quite a lap cat (yet), he's showing more and more affection every day—curling up nearby, soaking up pets on his head and shoulders, and occasionally even offering up his front paw for scritches. With time, he’s the kind of cat who will probably love curling up next to you during quiet moments.

A Few Notes About Mr. Marbles:

FIV+ – Mr. Marbles is FIV positive, which just means he has a compromised immune system. He can still live a long, full, healthy life with good care and a low-stress indoor environment. He can live with other cats as long as everyone gets along (FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds).

Calm Companion – He’d do best in a quieter home with a gentle rhythm. Loud environments or high-energy pets might stress him out. (He’s afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises still.)

Still Learning to Play – Toys are a new concept for Mr. Marbles. He's shown curiosity, and we believe it’s only a matter of time before he starts tapping into his playful side.

Low Maintenance – No climbing, no scratching, no wild antics. Mr. Marbles is a chill, grounded boy who wants soft things to sleep on, a hidey spot to call his own, and someone to love him for the big-hearted cat he is.

Mr. Marbles has already shown how deeply he can bond with someone patient and kind. Are you the one who will show him that his days of wandering are truly behind him?

Apply Here:
https://www.catsatlargemke.org/adoption-application

Adoption Fee:
$100

Adoption Fee Includes:
Age appropriate vaccinations
routine dewormers
spay/neuter
microchip
routine flea and tick preventative.

**Applicants are subject to routine background check, vet check, landlord/housing check.
