Mr. Kringle's Story

For years, Mr. Kringle lived the classic tom‑cat life on the streets of Newark. He was a seasoned street king… until younger, tougher males started challenging him. By the time he came to us, he was covered in bites, scratches, and old battle wounds. Today, he’s fully healed—and he has transformed into one of the most chill, goofy, lovable cats you’ll ever meet.

Despite his impressive size (he’s genuinely huge), Kringle is a softie. He’s gentle, easygoing, and surprisingly submissive with other cats. His silly side shines through in the best ways—like the time it took him a while to realize that stairs go both up and down. He’s not the most agile guy, thanks to his stocky build, but honestly, he doesn’t need to be. His favorite activities include lounging in a cozy spot, watching the world go by, and soaking up calm, peaceful vibes.

Like many big former tom cats, Kringle is FIV+. This doesn’t affect his day‑to‑day life, but it does mean he’d do best in a home with no other cats or with cats who are extremely unlikely to get into fights, since FIV is only transmitted to other cats and only through deep bite wounds.

If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion with a dash of goofball charm, Mr. Kringle is ready to retire from street life and settle into a home where he can finally relax and be adored.

*** Mr. Kringle is adopted neutered and up-to-date with all vaccinations***
