Mr. Fluff's Story
Meet Mr. Fluff: A Gentleman Looking for His Final Forever Home

At 14 years old, Mr. Fluff should have been spending his golden years curled up beside the person he loved. Instead, this sweet orange-and-white gentleman lost both his human and his home when his beloved owner passed away unexpectedly.

Suddenly, Mr. Fluff found himself scared and confused in a shelter, wondering where his human had gone. Thankfully, a kind-hearted foster stepped in and gave him a safe place to land. But there's one problem: Mr. Fluff is not a fan of dogs. While very little rattles this gentle soul, noisy dogs make him anxious, and he'd much rather spend his days in a peaceful home where he can relax and feel secure.

Despite all the changes life has thrown his way, Mr. Fluff remains exactly what he's always beena love bug. He adores attention, happily leans into brushings, and is never far from a cozy spot where he can keep an eye on his people. His vision isn't what it used to be, so loud, chaotic environments can be overwhelming, but give him a quiet room, a soft bed, and a loving human, and he's content.

Mr. Fluff does have a few medical needs. He takes medication for hyperthyroidism and high blood pressure and receives insulin for diabetes. True to his sweet and trusting nature, he takes it all like a champion. We know that taking on a senior cat with medical needs can feel daunting, which is why the MCSPCA is seeking a forever foster for this special boy.

As a forever foster, MCSPCA will provide all veterinary care, medications, prescription food, and medical support for the rest of Mr. Fluff's life. All you provide is the love, comfort, and peaceful home he deserves.

Mr. Fluff gets along fine with other cats. He doesn't bother them, and they seem to understand that he'd rather spend his days lounging peacefully on his favorite cat tree than getting involved in any drama.

This creamsicle-colored gentleman has already lost so much. What he needs now is someone willing to open their heart and give him the soft landing every senior cat deserves.

Could you be the person who gives Mr. Fluff the happy ending he's been waiting for?

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
