Mouse's Story

Meet Mouse, a striking lavender Oriental Shorthair and purebred neutered male with a big personality and an expressive voice. Mouse adores his humans and forms a strong one-on-one bond, following them from room to room and announcing his presence before settling nearby to supervise. He loves high places, cat trees, and perching where he can watch over his surroundings like the confident house prince he is.

Mouse does best with a consistent routine and has specific preferences that should be respected. He requires a large litter box with high sides and uses clumping clay litter only, specifically Precious Cat/Dr. Elsey’s or Fresh Step. He is free-fed dry food and enjoys Dr. Elsey’s dry and Friskies dry, along with a small can of wet food twice daily. He prefers shreds and select pâtés, and mealtime is important to him. His water bowl must remain clean and full.

Mouse must be the only cat in the household. When other cats are present, he develops behavioral issues, but he does very well as the sole feline in the home where he can feel secure and settled. The only exception has been Figaro, a shy “project kitty” he currently lives with and gets along with well. While they are not a bonded pair and do not have to be adopted together, Figaro is the only cat Mouse has accepted.

To help with his transition, Mouse will come with his favorite blue feather wand toy and black crate mat or bed. His ideal home is calm and structured, with people who appreciate a vocal, affectionate companion who wants to be involved in daily life.

If you're looking for a fabulously dramatic, affectionate, talkative companion who will bond deeply with his person and rule your home with charm, commentary, and loyal companionship, Mouse is ready to claim your heart and your couch. HE HAS TO BE THE ONLY CAT IN THE HOUSEHOLD.

He is tested, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His birth date is 9/28/2017 and his adoption fee is $500.
