Mouse's Story

Mouse and Midnight were surrendered to Laps and Naps because their elderly owner was moving to an assisted living facility and could not take the cats with him.<br/><br/>The two cats are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Mouse was covered in fleas when she arrived in her foster home and it took a couple of treatments to get rid of them. She is a sweet, gentle girl described by her foster mom as a "perfect little angel baby".<br/><br/>Mouse is obese and should be placed on a managed wet food diet. She is currently in a foster home in Monroe, NC.

Adopters download and complete an adoption application from our website and email it back to info@lapsandnaps.org. After reviewing the application, either the director or the animal care coordinator calls the potential adopter and conducts a phone interview. A home visit is sometimes conducted and, if the adopter is approved, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the cat (s)he is interested in adopting. If it's a good match, the adopter pays the adoption fee, signs an adoption contract, and the cat goes to its new home.
