Morrie's Story

Meet Morrie, a handsome 2 year old brown, black and grey male tabby.
Morrie’s story is a true happily-ever-after in the making. He was originally found with anoutdoor cat colony and was scheduled to be part of a TNR (Trap Neuter Return) program.
However, once the rescuers caught him, they discovered a wonderful secret: Morrie wasn’t feral at all. He is incredibly friendly and absolutely loves people! Instead of sending him back to the streets, everyone knew he deserved a warm, safe home. Four days after rescue, Morrie showed that he is a full-on lap kitty. He wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap and soak up all the affection you can give (including when writing this description!) He loves to give kisses and smoosh his face into his foster parents’ faces.
While he might not have a booming loud purr, you can feel his contentment. He loves to knead and make biscuits and might even drool a tiny bit to show you just how safe and happy he feels.
Morrie has a sweet demeanor but is also showing his playful and curious side. He absolutely loves his tunnel, zooming through it like a crazy ninja or using it as his favourite hangout spot. He enjoys his cat tree, chasing bouncy balls, wand toys and the laser pointer.
Morrie is the perfect blend of a gentle lounge partner and a curious playful young cat. He has come so far from being a stray who was hanging out in a colony, and all he needs now is a forever family to complete his beautiful journey. He doesn’t like to be alone so he would likely love to have a young, friendly kitty
Are you ready to give this resilient, loving boy the forever home he has been waiting for?

He is spayed, age appropriate vaccinations & microchipped.
Adoption Fee: $250

If you are interested in adopting, please apply here: https://chcrrescue.ca/adoption-application/

Potential adopters are required to complete an online application. Once complete, we contact their vet clinic for a reference. Once this is complete and during transfer, the adopters sign a paper contract outlining both ours and their responsibilities post adoption. We ask that cats not be permitted outdoors, no declawing and we ask that for any reason they cannot keep the cat, it is returned to us and not rehomed by them. We offer post-adoption counselling to help address any issues that may arise following adoption.

Our Mission
