Morning Glory's Story

Morning Glory — A Special Girl Looking for Someone to Love Her Through It All Morning Glory has a special adoption fee of $100 for a very special girl This sweet kitty once had a home of her own, but through no fault of her own, she had to return to rescue after her adopter experienced major life changes and could no longer care for her Since returning to Heartland, Morning Glory has been through a long medical journey — but through it all, she has remained incredibly loving, gentle, and sweet Morning Glory’s Medical JourneyAfter returning to rescue, Morning Glory began developing skin issues that required extensive veterinary care and visits with a dermatologist. She was ultimately diagnosed with Pemphigus Foliaceus, an autoimmune skin condition that causes crusting and irritation, primarily around her face and ears Her condition is currently very well managed with: Prednisolone tablets (2 days on, 1 day off) Purina Pro Plan HA foodThankfully, her medication routine is very easy Just pop a pill into a Churu and she happily swallows it right down.It took time to find the right treatment plan for her, and she did experience a side effect from a previous medication (gingival hyperplasia), but since stopping that medication, the issue has resolved Now that her medications and dosing are properly adjusted, Morning Glory is doing so much better You can learn more about Pemphigus Foliaceus here:MedVet Pemphigus Foliaceus in Cats Information About Morning GloryMorning Glory is truly one of the sweetest girls Loves affection and being petted Enjoys relaxing in warm sunbeams Loves watching “Cat TV” out the window Gets along with other cats after proper introductions Would likely do well with older children Unknown how she feels about dogsShe’s the kind of cat who simply wants a peaceful home, a comfy place to nap, and someone to love her.
