Morgan Fairchild (Honey)'s Story

Meet Morgan Fairchild — a gentle, soulful senior with so much love left to give.
Morgan appeared in our backyard in late fall, emerging from the nearby marsh and woods and quietly making herself known. She lingered for weeks, growing thinner as the weather turned cold, but never lost her trust in people. From the start, she showed nothing but affection — rubbing against our legs, greeting us with soft meows, and soaking up attention. When the first real cold snap hit in October, we knew we couldn’t leave her outside any longer and brought her indoors to keep her safe.

Despite a rough start, Morgan is thriving and full of quiet joy.
A vet visit revealed she was microchipped, but sadly never registered, and no owner came forward. She received a full veterinary workup, is spayed, current on Rabies and FVRCP, and has tested negative for both Feline Leukemia and FIV. She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which is now very well managed with a simple twice-daily pill costing about $20 per month. She takes her medication easily — tucked into a salmon-flavored pill pocket, which she happily eats without hesitation. With treatment, she has gained weight, regained her energy, and is truly flourishing.

Morgan is estimated to be 10–12 years old, but don’t let that number fool you.
She is calm, affectionate, playful, and agile — the kind of cat who enjoys companionship, gentle play, and cozy naps nearby. She is wonderful with people and does well with other cats. Dogs are a bit of an unknown; she has only been exposed to our very hyper one-year-old Pomsky, whom she understandably avoids. Given her temperament, she would likely thrive in a calm, dog-free home or with a respectful, low-energy dog.

This sweet girl deserves more than a spare room — she deserves a home.
Due to severe allergies and our high-energy puppy, Morgan has been living in a separate space in our home and isn’t getting the love, freedom, or social time she truly deserves. She is a deeply loving cat who bonds quickly and rewards kindness with affection and trust. Morgan would be an ideal companion for someone looking for a gentle, grateful soul — a cat who will quietly choose you as her person and mean it.

Morgan’s people are out there — she just needs help finding them.
She has already proven how resilient, loving, and special she is. With the right home, she will be an incredibly devoted companion for years to come.

While Morgan is not under our rescue, we have confirmed that she has received all vet care as indicated. We are supporting her finder and current guardian to help her find her perfect family.
