Mooska's Story

Meet Mooska! Mooska came to AWS from Jefferson County Animal Control. He came in with his buddy Meeska! Mooska along with multiple other cats were taken in by animal control from a cruelty/hoarding case. We pulled a few in the hopes of finding them new homes. Mooska is estimated to be around 7 months old. We always want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our animals. Mooska is a cat that needs time & patience. He is not a cat that you can cuddle and carry around. He has had little to no socialization prior to coming to us. Each day we are slowly working with him to earn his trust. Someone that can be patient with him and not rush things is going to be essential. While he is very shy, he has never been aggressive. We believe he would do well in a home with his friend Meeska or a home with another cat friendly cat that will bring him out of his shell. We do not recommend a home with dogs or young kids. Mooska is neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped.
