Mooney's Story

* This is a courtesy post. Please contact her caretaker Kathryn at 202-213-1165*

Meet this stunning smokey-grey sweetheart with mesmerizing green eyes and the cutest little head tilt you’ve ever seen. This young mama has already done the hard work of raising her three kittens — all happily adopted — and now it’s finally her turn to find a forever home of her own.

She’s equal parts sass, charm, and affection. This girl is a world-class chatterbox who always has something to say, especially if chin scratches are involved. Her favorite activities include dramatically rolling around for attention, supervising your daily routine, and reminding you that petting time should never end. In fact, if you dare walk away too soon, she may give your legs a tiny protest nip as her way of saying, “Excuse me, human, we were bonding.”

Currently an indoor/outdoor cat, she would love to retire into a safe, cozy indoor-only life where she can fully embrace her spoiled-house-cat era. She’s playful, full of personality, and impossible not to fall in love with.

Her adorable head tilt is believed to be from an old injury she experienced before arriving in an outdoor cat colony while pregnant, but it only adds to her unique charm and expressive personality. She’s resilient, loving, and ready for the happy ending she deserves.
