Monkey's Story
Monkey is an 8-year-old sweetheart with lots of "purrs" and love to give! At 18 lbs, this beautiful girl is on a healthy weight-loss journey and is looking for a patient family who will help her continue working towards her goal weight with a wet-food-only diet and fun playtime.

Monkey can shy at first, so she'll need someone who understands that trust takes time. Once she feels safe, her true personality shines: she is a purr machine, loves to play with the trackball toy and feather wand, will plop down beside you and curl up as a cozy lap cat. She's the perfect mix of silly, sweet, and snuggly once she settles in.

Monkey has lived with other cats before, but she didn't especially enjoy sharing the spotlight. Her dream home would be one where she can be the only cat aka the center of attention. She does well with adult friends but has clear boundaries and may give "warning chomps" if she gets overstimulated. For that reason, she'd do best in a home with no children or older, respectful children who can give her space.

Monkey is currently on gabapentin to help with anxiety, appetite, and adjusting to new environments. She also recently started a kidney-support diet for earlier-stage renal disease. With some patience, routine, and love, this purry gal will reward her forever family with trust, companionship, and plenty of cuddle time.

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email their foster parent at jamiewu814@gmail.com to learn more about them!

In order to meet any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first.
