Monkey's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application. We were contacted by his rescuer seeking assistance and we took him in. This handsome boy never actually had a URI, but he did arrive with a bloody nose which fixed itself by the next day. What was wrong? Who knows, likely during transport he injured his nose in the crate BUT it’s that shelter’s loss since Monkey is SUCH a great boy! Handsome? Check! Sweet and social? Absolutely! Playful? Yup!
Monkey came in with the name Batman, which does suit him with that beautiful mask of his BUT we think he is a total goof ball and hence he is a little Monkey to us. We can say that he has been a gem from the first day being in quarantine. He is a very clean kitty in his kennel and we did discover he does better with a high-rise litter box versus the normal square plastic ones (just taller sides on the box or normal larger boxes - super easy) By using a high-rise litter box with taller sides, he is very clean and will nicely cover his #2 INSIDE the box.
Monkey is an absolute food hound and he has the smallest, most adorable chirpy meow. He has never been stressed or aggressive around all the foster dogs and cats at Casa de ARWOB. He is very chill around all of them! He will be great addition to a home with multiple cats but would be fine as the only boy too if the home is right and would get a lot of companionship. He is good with dogs as long as they are not too much in his face or try to chase him, which will cause him to get overwhelmed and scared and he will run UP to any high counters or cabinets. The foster puppies love to approach him and lick his face, which he allows with no problem. He is very easy going and loves to nap but also loves to play with the lazer pen, batting around toys and play tag your it with other foster kitties He loves to sit at the window for the sun to hit his face and watch what is going outside.
Monkey will be great in any type of household. He was rescued as a street cat and has been secured inside since he was 6 months old. He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is up to date on medical. Would you like to meet this handsome gato? Please submit an online application at ARWOB.org for review. We will text or email you to schedule a phone call and get the process started. Meet and greets are scheduled in the 92111 zip code area any day of the week as long as it’s a convenient time for the applicant and the foster.
If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
Dog Adoption Application
Cat Adoption Application

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY please fill out a short questionnaire in addition to the adoption application.
Military Questionnaire
