She startles easily, yet she desperately wants connection, and she’s already showing how much she craves being close to her people.<br/><br/>Purrs for everything: when she’s excited to see you, when she wants pets, when she’s cozy in a nap — her purr motor is always running.<br/><br/>Talkative companion: Monica chirps and meows often, especially if you call back to her. She seems to enjoy the “conversations” and wants to be the one who chooses when to approach.<br/><br/>Bedtime snuggler: She loves curling up in bed with you while you read or sleep, and especially likes tucking herself into the nook between your legs if you’re stretched out.<br/><br/>Gentle but particular: She adores chin and ear rubs, especially if your hand comes from below her head so she feels safe. Sometimes she enjoys a scratch at the base of her back, but if she feels overstimulated she’ll give a harmless little “pow pow pow” with her paws — then immediately go back to purring and rubbing on your hand for more.<br/><br/>Treat motivated: Crunchy treats are the quickest way to earn her trust and affection.<br/><br/>Monica wants a forever home with someone patient and kind, who will let her set the pace as she grows more confident. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!<br/><br/>$300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.<br/>$200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.
