Molly's Story

Molly was almost out of time. 🖤

At 9 years old, she was returned to the local shelter she was originally adopted from in October 2025 after her family could no longer manage her anxiety-related litter box issues. Because of her age, behavioral challenges, and a staffing shortage at the original shelter, Molly was scheduled for euthanasia.

But before that day came, her family was given a list of rescues who might be able to help. We were at the top of that list—and we said yes.

Because Molly’s life mattered. 🤍

Molly was originally adopted as an 8-week-old kitten in 2016. Over the years, stress would sometimes cause her to poop outside the litter box. When children entered the home, her anxiety increased… and so did the accidents.

For the past three months, Molly has been in our care while we’ve worked through routine, consistency, food changes, and medication. And she has tried so hard. Accidents are now very rare, and in a calm environment she is a truly sweet, gentle girl.

Molly is currently eating a calming prescription diet, which will need to be continued. We’re also trialing a monthly Solensia injection to see if pain management further improves her comfort and behavior.

What Molly needs now is simple—but specific:
• A quiet, low-stress home
• No children or other pets
• Patience, understanding, and grace if an occasional accident happens

Because the right match matters, a home visit and multiple meet-and-greets will be required.

She just needs someone willing to choose her. 🐾

Think that could be you?

👉 Apply to adopt: nose2tailcatrescue.org/adopt
(Please note: not all applications are approved.)

All cats are fully vetted—spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped.
