Molly's Story

Molly - Female DOB 5/22/2018 Domestic Short Hair - Black/White

Molly is a sweet, independent cat who’s starting to show just how much she enjoys being around people. She came to us in pretty rough shape with significant dental pain and ended up needing most of her teeth removed, which has made a big difference in how she feels and how she moves through the world now. Once she started feeling better, things began to shift. She has shown a lot of progress in the last 6 months, and now she’ll even come down from her perch when people walk in, rub against your legs, and sometimes even walk right up for pets, on her terms but clearly choosing it. She likes to sleep high above the rest of the cats in the main room, and prefers to watch the shenanigans from up above.

She still likes you to move slowly and let her see what you’re doing, but once she’s comfortable, she leans into our pets. Head rubs are her favorite, and she settles in more than you expect once she decides you’re okay. She’s also started exploring more of the main cat room instead of staying tucked away. Molly mostly keeps to herself and isn’t looking for a buddy, and she would either prefer to be your one and only, or maybe go home with her friend Cecil who has been with her for a long time.

Molly may take a while to settle in and learn how to trust new people, but she is also not a needy cat, and just wants a comfortable cat tree in front of a window, or a puffy bed up off the floor somewhere comfortable for her to relax. What she needs is someone who’s okay meeting her where she is and letting things unfold naturally. She’s not complicated—you just have to let her come to you.

Molly is looking for a calm, patient home where she can keep settling in at her own pace. She does know Cecil and has shared space with him comfortably if someone is hoping to adopt two, but she doesn’t need to go home with another cat. She would need a home with a cat savvy person, and no dogs or children.

Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.
