Mojo's Story

We'd like to introduce you to a very special friend of ours - Mama Mojo!

Mojo is still a very young girl. She came to us at 11 months old and super pregnant back in September 2025, and she holds the distinction for being the very first Mama Cat to give birth under our care!

On October 3rd, this brave girl gave birth to four precious babies (that we lovingly refer to as her "Little Monsters"), and she was such an incredible mother (and an incredible help to us!) nursing them, bathing them, teaching them how to be kittens. We have bottle fed, syringe fed, and manually stimulated baby bladders before, and after seeing Mojo show us how a pro does it, we were so grateful that she was here for them!

Once her babies were old enough to be independent, Mojo got to be a kitten herself again. She was allowed out of her nursing station, and was able to mingle and get to know our resident cats, and she really cashed in on all the cuddlesshe could get with her humans!

On Friday, March 13th, Mojo and all of her babies were fixed, vaccinated, and tested -/-, and as early as March 23rd, she will be ready to go to her forever home, where she will not have to worry about any more motherly duties, and she can just be someone's baby girl.

Mojo is playful, smart, curious, and cuddly. She loves other cats, but she loves people more. And sometimes she can get a little jealous of other cats when she feels they are getting more human attention than she is!

She is the quietest tortie girl we've ever known, but her big expressive eyes and her loud purring will tell you everything you need to know!

Even though she won't be available for at least another 10 days, we are accepting early applications for her now!

Our Mission
To provide support, shelter and good old fashioned "love and care" to at-risk felines in need of a second chance. We aim to do this by way of rescue, foster, adoption, re-homing, and community support, among other means. Our overall goal is simple. We want cats to have a safe, comfortable and loving home and we will do all...
