Maybe you’ve heard it said, “All you need is love and a cat named Mochi.” I agree, but what is mochi? Besides sounding very cute, it’s a sweet dough made of rice flour that can be made into rice cakes, candy, cookies, even ice cream. But – isn’t it a great name for a kitty? In fact, it has become a popular name for cats on social media. I’d love to be someone’s sweet Mochi kitty-cake. I’m an adult female who was found in Osage, Iowa. When I arrived at Paws and Claws on February 16, I had upper respiratory and eye infections, so I was started on medications to treat those, and now I'm doing much better. My tail had frostbite damage, so part of it had to be amputated. I need to be on grain-free food, and the dry food that I particularly like is Farmina N&D Prime Lamb and Blueberry Grain Free (available online through Chewy). I also like Merrick Limited Ingredient Diet Grain Free Turkey Recipe canned food. It is available locally at Petsmart and probably from various online retailers. I have been shy and quiet, but I’m a friendly girl who likes to be petted. I play a little, but mostly I’ve been mellow. Purr-haps I’ll be livelier when I’ve been here a little longer. At least I’m safe and well cared for. I look forward to being able to go home with someone who loves me “very Mochi”.
