Meet Mocha & Latte — DOB: 11/13/2024. Bonded brothers who must be adopted together. If someone has room in their heart and home for the whole family, Mama, Mamaccino, would also love the chance to stay with her boys. Mama can be adopted separately, but keeping this little family together would be wonderful.<br/><br/>Mocha and Latte started life on the streets with their young mother, Mamaccino. They came into foster care as kittens and have spent the past many months discovering what life in a loving home is all about. They have come such a long way. They are playful, affectionate, curious, and increasingly confident, while still being the kind of cats who appreciate a calm home and a little patience when something surprises them. They love their routines, sunny windows, cat trees, cozy spots, and especially their daily playtime. One of their favorite things is a pillow-fort tent where they snuggle together almost every day. They have also become big fans of an automated laser toy and will happily chase it around during playtime.<br/><br/>Mocha is the darker-furred, slightly larger brother and is an absolute loveable loaf. He has become a true lap-time enthusiast — although he is still figuring out the actual “lying down on a lap” part. Almost every morning, Mocha comes over for his special window-and-lap routine. He stands on your lap while looking out the window and enjoys getting soft pets with both hands. Sometimes he will even reach up and give your arm a tiny, gentle “tippy tap” with his paw as if to say, “Pick me up. It’s lap time.” Mocha loves affection and especially loves having his face rubbed. He will lean into your hand for more and is wonderfully gentle with his paws. He is also happy to hang out near you while you cook and will often settle down nearby like a little loaf supervising dinner.<br/><br/>A few weeks ago, Mocha discovered something new: fetch! He decided that a twist tie was his favorite toy and started bringing it back so it could be thrown again. He is still working on understanding that mice and other little toys can also be used for fetch, but watching him invent his own game has been pretty adorable. Mocha loves wand toys, rolling toys, crinkled paper balls, chasing toys down the hallway, and of course his favorite pillow fort with his brother.<br/><br/>Latte is the lighter-furred, slightly smaller brother, and he is a wonderfully affectionate little guy with a personality all his own. Latte may not be as interested in sitting on a lap as Mocha, but he absolutely loves being close to his people. He enjoys sitting with you on the couch or bed and soaking up attention. When he is really enjoying himself, his tail starts wagging with excitement and he gives you the sweetest little face. Latte is also very serious about mealtime affection. While you are preparing his food, he wants pets, attention, and companionship. He will happily rub around your legs while you get everything ready.<br/><br/>He is also a fantastic player. Latte could chase a laser toy forever and absolutely loves his daily play sessions. He enjoys small toys, rolling toys, crinkled paper balls, and wand toys. He is a clever little guy, though, and after watching the wand toy for a while he tends to figure out that there is a human attached to it. Then comes the soft paw to your hand and the unmistakable look of, “I know what you're doing.” He especially loves his brother and the two of them still enjoy curling up together in their pillow-fort tent.<br/><br/>Mocha and Latte have grown into affectionate, playful young cats who thrive with routine, patience, and a relaxed environment. They enjoy window watching, cat trees, cozy hiding places, and plenty of interactive play. They have also made wonderful progress with being called. They can still get startled by something unexpected, but they are learning that they are safe and will often come back quickly when called. These boys do not need to be forced into being anything they are not. They are already showing adopters exactly who they are: two sweet brothers who love to play, love attention, love each other, and are learning that a person's home can be their safe place forever.<br/><br/>Mocha & Latte must be adopted together. Their bond is important, and we are looking for a home where they can continue growing together. And for the adopter who has room for one more: their mom, Mama, AKA: Mamaccino, is still looking for her forever home too. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $350 ($175.00 per cat/kitten) must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
