Mittens's Story

Meet Mittens! This sweet senior girl is looking forward to life in a real home, after living on the streets for quite some time. Mittens is estimated to be 12+years old, a senior gal, who is missing most of her teeth and her bloodwork indicates that she is slightly hyperthyroid, a common concern in older felines. She has started methimazole for this. Today, Mittens was spayed after a long life of being an intact girl, and she did have a mild pyometra and cysts so she is going to be feeling MUCH happier and more comfortable now. Mittens eats like a champ, uses the litterbox here, and loves attention and relaxing. She is now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested negative and had full panel bloodwork. If you are looking for a senior companion and want to give this sweet girl a great rest of her life, please stop by the shelter, or you can call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov
