Mittens's Story

Hi, my name is Mittens!

From: City of Fallon Animal Shelter
Description: I may be shy at first, but there’s a gentle heart here that’s just waiting for the right moment and the right person, to feel safe. What I need most is a calm, patient home where I can take things at my own pace. Give me time, soft voices, and a peaceful routine, and I promise I’ll slowly begin to blossom. If you’re someone who believes the quietest companions often have the most love to give, I think we'll have a lot in common.
Dog Compatibility: History unknown, slow introductions recommended!
Cat Compatibility: I would do best with a cat companion!
Child Compatibility: History unknown; let’s meet to see if we’re compatible!

Currently, our entire adoption process is virtual. Please follow these steps to be considered for adoption: 1. Visit our homepage at www.spcanevada.org and choose dogs or cats. 2. If you see a pet you love, click on their photo. 3. Click on the “Apply to Adopt” button on their profile. 4. Click “Sign Up” to create an account. 5. Fill out the questionnaire. This will take about 5-10 minutes. Once you are signed up, you can browse and apply for as many pets as you like! Once you apply, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know that we have received your application. All pets are first come first serve based on when we receive your application. If your application is next in the virtual line, then our counselor will give you a call to discuss the pet and see if they are a good fit for your home.
