Misty's Story

Misty was rescued with her siblings from the outdoors in Northern Ontario before being transferred to an Abbey Cats foster home in the GTA. Misty is a gorgeous brown tabby with quite a lot of black stripes. She is a lovely playful kitten, always up for a wrestle with a sibling or chasing a ball around the room. Misty is quite interested in humans as well, and loves to climb on her foster family’s laps and purr away. She is a friendly and lovely kitten. Misty will thrive in any home with one of her siblings… Sawyer, Sunny or Theodore Misty needs to be adopted with a cat in the program or have another cat at home Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of six months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company. **Kitten Policy** Please note: Kittens require the companionship of other kittens and the younger the kitten the more this is so. It is a developmental need. If you do not have animals at home and you only want one cat please look at kittens 6 months or older. By this time in their life we know which cats need the companionship of other animals and which ones would prefer to live without other animals. We provide an adoption service and want to match the right cat with the right home. It is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without other young cats/kittens for company. Please bear this in mind when calling to adopt. *** Due to an unprecedented demand (especially for kittens) we regret that we are unable to respond by phone to all of the applications we are currently receiving. We are only able at this time to phone those applicants who have sent in an online adoption application, can provide a vet reference and their criteria matches what the particular cat or kittens' needs are.
