Hi, I'm Misty.<br/>I'm about 2 years old, and I've been through a lot lately.<br/>My favorite person - the one who always made me feel safe and loved - passed away. Since then, everything has been different. I came here with my buddy Sam, so I'm used to having another cat around. We were also in a home with dogs, and while I'm a little nervous right now, I might be okay with a gentle dog who knows how to be kind to a quiet cat like me.<br/>I'm on the shy side, and new places (and people) can be a little scary for me. But even though I'm scared, I've never been mean - no swatting or hissing, I just try to stay small and quiet until I feel safe again.<br/>What I really need is someone patient and kind, someone who'll give me time to settle in and understand that love can grow slowly and quietly. If you have a calm home and a gentle heart, I'd really love the chance to start over with you.<br/><br/>Could we take that first step together?
