Mist is still learning the ins and outs of indoor life, and while she may be a bit shy at first, she has a sweet nature that truly shines once she begins to feel safe and comfortable.<br/><br/>Mist thrives in a calm, quieter environment where she can settle in at her own pace. She can be a little skittish with new people or sudden movements, but with patience and kindness, she warms up and shows her affectionate side. She’s the kind of cat who forms a deep bond with her person over time, making that trust all the more special.<br/><br/>One of Mist’s favorite pastimes is observing the world around her. She absolutely loves watching birds and nature from the window, often peeking through the blinds and chattering quietly at the activity outside. She’s also very active and curious- once she’s comfortable, she enjoys running around, exploring her space, and engaging in playful bursts of energy.<br/><br/>Mist previously lived in a bonded pair with her brother, and because of that, she would do best in a home with a friendly male cat companion to help her feel secure and provide companionship. Having a confident feline friend will help her continue to build confidence and adjust more quickly to her new home.<br/><br/>What Mist is looking for in a home:<br/><br/> - She’s new to indoor life with humans, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make her nervous.<br/> - She’ll extra time and TLC to build trust. <br/> - She’ll need an already established resident male feline friend close to her age to play with and model good cat manners. <br/> - She has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time and space to run around.<br/> - She feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.<br/> - She needs to live indoors only.<br/> - She has no known history with dogs.<br/> - She has no known history with children.<br/><br/>All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care<br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in adopting Mist!
