Missy – Gentle Senior Cat Looking for a Patient, Loving Home Missy is a gentle 12-year-old girl with a quiet strength and a heart that’s slowly beginning to heal. When she arrived at our rescue, she was stressed and fearful, showing signs of prolonged neglect, including overgrooming and fur loss. With patience and loving care in her foster home, Missy is learning that the world can be safe. Her fur is growing back, her eyes are brighter, and she’s begun to enjoy gentle head scratches, bird-watching from the window, and playful nighttime jingle ball sessions. She even chats with her foster family when she feels comfortable. Missy is currently on a low-dose antidepressant to help manage anxiety, and she continues to make remarkable progress. While she can coexist with other cats and a large dog, she would be happiest as the only pet in a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. Furry Tales Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Adopters must be 21+ years old. ALL members of the household must agree on the adoption. We do NOT allow adoptions to be surprises for others. Out of state adoptions are ALLOWED. We currently adopt to homes located in PA, NJ, MD, DE, VA, WV, OH, CT, NH and NY. At this time we do not adopt out to homes who are over ~200-250 miles from Blue Bell, PA 19422, but may make exceptions on a case by case basis. Potential adopters must submit an initial application that will be followed up by a phone interview and home check. We call two personal non-family references that are to be listed on the application. If there are any current pets in the home we will call your veterinarian as well to ensure all pets are up to date on state required vaccines and are spayed/neutered (if applicable). If all goes well we have a detailed adoption contract that must be thoroughly read, completed, and signed by the adopter. Our process tends to move fairly QUICKLY and adoption can be as quick as just a few hours after submitting an application up to a week or more. We do NOT hold pets.
