She came to us as a young mama raising four kittens, and thanks to patience (and plenty of squeezable kitty treats), she’s grown into a wonderful companion who truly enjoys being part of a home.<br/>Now that her kittens have all been adopted, Missy is ready for her own forever family. She’s best described as low key, polite, and observant — the kind of cat who likes to be near her people, keeping a watchful eye and offering comfort just by being close. Missy loves ear scratches and will happily settle into your lap for long cuddle sessions. While she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and doesn’t enjoy being picked up, she shows her affection in the sweetest ways.<br/>Missy has an adorable little squeaky meow that she uses to announce herself as she enters a room, making sure you know she’s arrived. She’s also shown how nurturing and social she can be, recently welcoming two new foster kittens. ($50.00 reduction in adoption fee for a pair). ADOPTION FEE: The adoption donation includes spay or neuter, microchip, age appropriate shots, deworming, flea preventative and a negative FIV/Luekemia test. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place and references will be checked. We will then arrange for you to meet the cat or kitten. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
