MISS PRISS - CHUNKY DILUTE CALICO SWEET TALKER's Story

Miss Priss was presumably dumped and lived in a colony of several cats in the downtown historic district of McKinney. She was first noticed around a year ago and was very skinny and looked to be juvenile size. Slowly she filled out and filled in as a lady began feeding her. As she never got pregnant, it was assumed she was already spayed and this turned out to be true. Miss Priss survived on her own and filled out with the help of the food provided by a neighbor. However, a friend of a FFAR foster took it upon herself to try to get the cats she could in homes and/or get the ferals off the streets so they would not continue to reproduce. Fortunately Miss Priss, since she is so sweet, came into our foster/adoption program. She is now a large girl weighing in at 12 pounds and she has a super cute chunky head reminiscent of a tom or a chunky-headed exotic breed such as a British Shorthair. Miss Priss does have a couple chipped teeth that took the hit from living on the streets, most likely from when she was desperate for food, but per veterinarian examination nothing that needs tending to or causes her any issues so this is cosmetic only and not visible or unless looking in her mouth which she sweetly and patiently tolerates. Only Miss Priss knows how she ended up a stray on the streets, but since she was not chipped when we got her (she is now) and was spayed, she had a home at one time. This is an all to common story and Miss Priss is just one more statistic for a kitty that had a home and then lost it and we never know why or how. She is a beautiful dilute tortie with very pretty markings. Miss Priss is now waiting for another shot at finding her forever home. She is vet-aged at only three years old so she still has lots of love left to give and receive. She has the cutest little voice and can be quite a talker, but not annoyingly so at all. If interested in meeting this beautiful big dilute tortie love and possibly adopting, go to furryfriendsanimalrescue.org and submit an application. You will be contacted within 24 hours (if not, please check your spam folder).

Furry Friends Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
We are a new group and we will be rescuing more as we recruit new foster homes - so check back often! We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis - it is our goal to find the right home for the cat or dog as well as ensuring that the cat or dog is the right match for its new family.  A win/win situation.  We do home visits for our dogs. Our Adoption Fees are $180 for cats and $250 for dogs. All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as required. You can fill out an Adoption Application online on our website. All our cats and dogs live in foster homes so we don't have a physical shelter for you to visit.  If you are interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, just send us a an email or fill out an Adoption Application on our website.
