Miss Peacock's Story

Miss Peacock is independent and all-around awesome girl. She likes to play with litter mates, but will curl up on a high perch and sleep by herself. She also loves a good belly rub. She also loves to carry around a soft bright ball. She has good experience with both dogs and cats, love playing with balls, small mice and wand toys. Peacock would thrive with another young playful animal buddy in her family. If you don't have another kitty or a friendly dog at home, adopt her with one of her sisters!

Contra Costa Humane Society's Adoption Policy

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens).
