Miss Mabel's Story

Miss Mabel is a 7-month old bundle of sunshine who enjoys bird watching, kitty condos and a dash of catnip to top off her day. We are over the moon with her loving personality, active and fun energy, and of course adorable playfulness! Miss Mabel enjoys being near you and lets out the most adorable chirps in the form of purrs.She loves to spend her day by her people and is curious about the fun things around her. Whether its an adventure up the cat condo or investigating a new mousey toy, she lives each day to the fullest and is just missing you to share it with! Miss Mabel is looking for a quieter home where she can zoom, snuggle, and enjoy a well earned cat nap. She has big purrsonality and needs someone who can read her cues and during playtime and pets. She has not been tested with dogs but may do fine with a calm, friendly kitty. A true purr-fect companion, we can't wait for Miss Mabel's next adventure. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

We ask all potential adopters to complete an adoption application. A veterinary reference and proof of home ownership OR landlords approval is required. After everything rescue cats have been through, our top priority is placing them into the best matched forever homes. We treat each cat as an individual and assess potential adopters based on that cat’s needs.
