Miss Jane is a spunky tortoiseshell kitten wrapped in swirls of warm colors, with each patch as unique as her personality. A scaredy cat at first, Miss Jane prefers to observe the world from a safe distance, peeking out with wide thoughtful eyes before deciding if you’re worth her trust. But don’t be fooled by her quiet and aloof nature – once she feels comfortable her sassy side soon shines through! Miss Jane loves cozy hiding spots with soft blankets and choosing exactly when she wants attention. Her playful antics will warm your heart and make you giggle. Gentle yet bold, timid yet opinionated Miss Jane carries herself like a true queen in training! Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy

We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
