Miriam's Story
Meet Miriam (Miri) 🐾

Miriam is a beautiful young adult kitty with a story full of love and resilience. She came into rescue while caring for her kittens, did an amazing job raising them, and now that all of her babies have found homes… it’s finally Miri’s turn 💕

Like most cats, Miri likes to do things on her time. When she first arrived, she was understandably a bit defensive and unsure—especially around other cats and food. It’s likely she had to fend for herself before, and those survival instincts stuck with her.

To help her feel safe and set her up for success, Miri did best starting out in her own space (a large cage/area) for a couple of weeks while slowly being introduced to other cats with short, supervised outings. This slow introduction made a huge difference for her, and any future home with other pets should plan to give her that same kind of gradual adjustment period.

After about 1.5–2 weeks, she was able to be out full-time—and she’s been thriving ever since! She’s come such a long way and continues to grow more comfortable and confident each day. She no longer guards her food and hasn’t shown any aggression—just a girl who needed time to feel safe.

Miri needed a little time to trust people too, but once she realized she was safe, everything started to change. With patience, treats, and lots of love, she’s blossomed into such a sweet girl. She even lets me hold her like a baby now! 🥹

Miriam will absolutely thrive in a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace and finally feel secure forever. She’s the kind of cat who will form a deep bond—you just have to give her the time she deserves.

If you’re willing to go at her pace, Miri will reward you with so much love. She’s ready for her happily ever after 💛
