Miranda's Story
Miranda came to us as a stray with a severe case of suspected frost bite on her ears. However, she does not let her past get her down because she is a queen and she knows it. Miranda spends her days wandering around the vet hospital seeing who will be silly enough to think they can get work done with her sitting on their lap. Afterall it is Miranda’s world and we are just servants in it, and she will nip if she is not being attended to properly. She also likes to be brushed and pet but once she reaches her limit she will let you know. Miranda has recently been coming up to staff members meowing her demands to be picked up and loved on (although, she is selective with who has that privilege). She’s a typical sassy calico and has no problem letting you know when she has had enough and needs some space. If you let her, she will rule over you with grace and dignity.

We believe that Miranda would do well in a home with an experienced cat owner who will be able to recognize Miranda's behavior patterns. Any children in the home would need to be over the age of 12 and able to understand when to respect her space. Miranda would also need to be the only pet. Either way, she will be content spending her days rubbing on you, lounging on couches and ruling over her new kingdom.

*****************************************************************************************

If you would like to meet Miranda or any of our cats available for adoption, please email ahrkittenrescue@gmail.com for more information and an application. A staff member will be in touch ASAP. Our kitty meet & greets are done by appointment only.

Our cats live with us here at our very busy animal hospital (a limited amount are fostered). We do not have a shelter but do our best with the space we have. Our adoption team will review your application and call references to determine the perfect future home for each of our cats. We have multiple cats that we are taking care of and working to get adopted.

All our cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative and micro-chipped prior to adoption unless otherwise stated. Please view our adoption fees and policies for our cats.

Most of our cats have never met dogs or children of any age or size. We recommend a slow introduction process for children, dogs and other cats to help for a smooth transition into your home. All our new kitty parents are sent home with additional information on this process. You can also visit the www.ASPCA.com for additional information on this process.
