Miranda's Story
My name is Miranda.

I was found outside on a bitterly cold day in Marysville -- so cold that I was literally frozen into the ice. Before that, I lived in a home that eventually went into foreclosure. When the house was lost, so was I. I was left behind.

Life before rescue wasn't easy. The house was very dirty, and there were many of us cats trying to survive inside. Because of my past and the trauma I've experienced, I can be very mistrusting at first. The world hasn't always been kind to me, so I take my time deciding who feels safe.

But here's the beautiful part: once I trust you... once I let you pet me... my motor starts running nonstop. I have the sweetest purr, and it's my way of saying, "Thank you for being patient with me."

I'm going to need a quiet home and a family who understands that love isn't rushed -- it's earned. With patience, gentleness, and consistency, I will blossom. And when I do, you'll have the most loyal, grateful little companion by your side.
