Mirabelle's Story

Sweet Mirabelle was living the rough life outdoors trying her best to raise 4 darling kittens, fortunately a kind person saw her struggle and took her and her little family inside and reached out to the rescue for help. She was an excellent and attentive mama to her kittens despite her handicap and they soon grew up and got adopted.

Sweet, quiet Mirabelle is ready for the simple life. She presents with CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) causing her to have a couple difficulties with her motor skills for certain activities. Mirabelle can walk and gallop. She doesn't jump much because her balance can be a bit off. However, she scales her 3.5 feet tall scratching post to sit on the top of it. Mirabelle benefits from a few stairs or small ramps to get in a chair or on a table to look outside. This girl uses the different tiers the furniture offers as steps to do as the other cats do. She is very smart - get on the fireplace hearth, a step to the coffee table, a stretch to the couch, up to the couch arm, then a stride to the side table, and only a small hop to the bay window to sit to watch the bird feeders in the morning along with her foster siblings.

Mirabelle has all the skills needed to play. She is satisfied playing by herself or with the other foster cats. Her favorite toys are little balls to roll and chase and small mice made of fabric because she uses her paws to flip them around.

This gorgeous gal loves to lie in a box and take naps. Her preference though is to lie in a warm lap and get pets while she falls asleep. Mirabelle is happy to let you know she's ready to be picked up for cuddle time. She also the warm rays of the sun shining through a window or glass door.

This beauty queen has been in a foster home so she knows the life of being an indoor pet now. She is litter trained with no issues. Mirabelle prefers a household with less commotion to avoid any collisions since she can't react as quickly. Her favorite is wet food, but also eats dry kibble and cat treats. Mirabelle will curl up at the end of the bed if provided with a way to get there. One of her other favorite activities is to watch "Cat TV" with birds, fish, or bouncing balls. She's happy to compromise and watch sports or action movies.

Mirabelle appreciates being an indoor pet and is definitely ready said goodbye to her previous hazardous, outdoor life.

Please note Mirabelle is available for adoption in the greater Charlotte area only.

If you would like to meet this sweet girl please complete an application at mynextpet.com/cat-application

If you have any questions please email cattyshack.FM@gmail.com
