Minty's Story

Minty was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. She's a sweet, quiet older gal who doesn't ask for much-just a soft bed and a peaceful place to relax. Minty isn't very active and would love a calm home where she can enjoy being a devoted couch potato.
While in foster, she showed how much she enjoys cuddling and would often roam around at odd hours during the night. At this time, Minty has shown that she does not like other animals and would need to be the only pet in the home so she can feel comfortable and secure.
Minty is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
