Mint's Story

Mint needed a fresh start after surviving her formative time on the streets. She arrived as an overly stressed momma cat who truly needed and deserved a break from her formerly chaotic lifestyle. Once her duties to her kittens were complete, she was welcomed into the quietest space we had to offer her all the time she needed to observe her feline friends relating to us mysterious humans. This tenderhearted lady watched them frolicking nearby her cozy spots, and has—to our delight—begun to venture from her safety zones into the fray of friendships. Mint's progress has been a slow, thoughtful one; our patience has really paid off tenfold as she now waits in her favorite spots for head to tail rubs, even extending the invitation to strangers visiting her room. While she still shows some hesitation, understanding adults and older children experienced with nurturing a fearful friend will be welcomed into her circle of trust with that tried-and-true patience she deserves!
