Minnow's Story
Did you know Standish has a Working Cat Program? Some of the cats in this program are cats caught in the middle: not entirely socialized for a “domestic” life; but, also not considered a true feral cat either. Meet Minnow, Standish's new featured cat representing some of the other cats Standish has that are caught in limbo. Get your tissues out to meet Minnow. Minnow is a young adult gray and white male. He was found outdoors and at first glance, he is like any other sweetie pie. He purrs, wants attention, then suddenly decides he doesn't. Perhaps it was the rocks children were throwing at him? Perhaps it was that this poor boy was left outside to fend for himself? Standish is looking for a home that wants to give him a chance. Perhaps you own or run a store that needs Minnow The Cat strolling the aisles in search of some mouse fun. Or maybe you have a home willing to let him in and out so Minnow can do his “thing” and be well fed with a warm place at night to sleep. He will very likely mellow out with time and relearn how to fully trust again, but that will be up to him. This boy deserves more than the hand that has been dealt to him. If you or someone you know is interested in one of Standish's Working Cats, please submit an adoption application specifying you are looking for one of these wonderful kitties! Thank you all for your continued support!
