Minnie's Story
Hi, I'm Minnie!

I'm a beautiful tuxedo cat, about 6 years old, with a soft heart that's learning to be brave again.

Life has changed a lot for me recently, and leaving the only home I've ever known was very hard. Because of that, I take my time getting comfortable in new places. When I first arrive, you'll probably find me tucked away in a cozy hiding spot while I figure everything out. I just need a little patience and a calm, loving home where I can settle in at my own pace.

Even though I'm shy, I'm a very sweet girl. I'll let you pet me, even on my tummy! I don't mind being picked up once I feel safe. I may not be the first one to greet you at the door, but with kindness and consistency, I'll quietly blossom into a loving companion.

I'm litter box trained and happiest in a peaceful home with predictable routines. My favorite things are simple: curling up in cozy little spaces, snoozing in a sunny spot on the bed, or claiming an empty box as my personal fortress. If there's a warm patch of sunshine, you can bet I'll be there.

One thing that's helped me through all these big changes is my best cat friend, Millie (also available for adoption with Rescue One). We've lived together our entire lives, and having her by my side has been a tremendous comfort. Because I'm used to having a feline companion, I would likely do best in a home with another kind cat—or, even better, if Millie and I could be adopted together. We've spent our whole lives together, and we'd love to keep our friendship going in our forever home.

If you're the kind of person who understands that trust takes time and believes the sweetest friendships are worth waiting for, I would love the chance to find my forever home with you. I may be quiet at first, but my heart has so much love to give once it feels safe.

My adoption fee is $75. This fee includes my vaccinations, FIV/FELV testing, de-wormer, spay/neuter, microchip, and flea preventative. Fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROS/Cat if you would like to meet me!

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals!
