Minnie's Story

Meet Minnie, a beautiful 1-year-old black momcat who is ready for her own happily-ever-after.

Minnie did an amazing job raising her kittens, and now that they’ve all been adopted, it’s finally her turn to find a loving home. She can be a bit shy at first, but with patience and kindness, she is already beginning to shine.

Barely past kittenhood herself, she has a playful, youthful spirit—sometimes surprising her foster family by popping out to invite them into a game. It’s her sweet way of saying, “Come play with me!” Sometimes, she does get carried away with her play and will use her fosters' hands and feet as toys. Her fosters are training her to play with toys, not hands and feet. A playful , similarly aged, companion kitty would help her channel her playfulness appropriately.

In her foster home, Minnie is slowly opening up and has started enjoying quiet time on the couch with her foster family. She comes when called, and greets her fosters at the door! With consistency, love, and a gentle approach, she will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion. Minnie will do best in a home without children or dogs, but will benefit from a playful cat friend.

If you’re looking for a cat who will grow with you, and reward your patience with trust, playfulness, and affection, Minnie is ready to steal your heart.

Interested in adopting Minnie? Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats.
