Minnie's Story

Minnie is around 5 years old and was surrendered because her owner was moving. She has unfortunately not been exposed to kids, other cats, or dogs. We will hopefully know soon how she feels about other cats, but where she's been the only cat for years, it's possible that she will want to keep it that way. Minnie had quite a few matts in her fur when she came in. Some we were able to brush out, but her belly had to be shaved. We know long-haired cats are cute, but don't forget that she'll need regular brushing!

Minnie is very sweet once she gets to know you, but is still nervous. She isn't going to instantly jump into your lap when you visit her at the shelter. She's in a new place, with people and animals that she doesn't know, and so she's understandably freaked out. Minnie needs a sweet soul to take her home and help her feel safe and comfortable again.

Our adoption application and policies can be found here:

www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1

(All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption)
