She’s an independent girl who doesn’t enjoy a lot of petting, but she will come seek out affection on her own terms. With patience and a gentle touch, she will form a quiet, loyal bond. She seems to do well with other cats and would likely thrive in a calm, low-pressure household. If you can offer her a home where she can “just be” — a soft spot to land, a predictable routine, and love at her pace — she will be forever grateful. The Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals depends on the kindness and generosity of foster families when we rescue pets. If we do not have a foster home available, we cannot accept or take in the pet. Right now there pets that are waiting for a foster home to open up. Some are living in temporary homes, others are being boarded by private citizens. If we have more foster homes, we can help more animals move toward the permanent loving homes they deserve. Remember, when you foster a pet, you get the reward of knowing you have saved a life, and you also receive unconditional love.
