Mimi's Story

Mimi gave birth to four litters of kittens before she could be trapped, vaccinated, and spayed. We don’t really know her age, but think she might have been born in 2020.

She loves to have the top of her head and neck scratched and rapidly breaks out into a purr. She is not adventurous, and has never been on a table or counter. She’s not particularly food-motivated but she does enjoy her treats, including meat tubes, freeze-dried meat, and even multivitamin treats. She does not play. Perhaps someday she will, but most likely not.

Mimi needs an experienced and patient cat guardian to help her come out of her shell and learn to trust people more. Although she has let strangers pet her, she also may go into hiding when a handyman comes over.

Mimi likes routines, predictability, and consistent body language. If you feel like you can bring a cat like Mimi into your home, who is not such a typical “easy” cat, kindly fill out the application form, indicating you would like to meet Mimi.

NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.

NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.

NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada
