Milo's Story

Milo was found on the porch of The Tabby Shack. He was a stray kitten brought inside to learn the life of luxury. He is a very gentle baby. Often times, we can find him curled up in a cat tree, playing with his favorite toys, or headbutting us for pets. He loves to play with, wrestle, or be groomed by other cats in the home. He is very affectionate and friendly. He can be easily startled by loud or fast movements, but he warms right back up after the initial scare. Overall, Milo is an absolute delight. He currently lives with other cats and a dog. He is litter trained, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Milo would prefer a furry companion, but he can also live alone.

The Tabby Shack's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are welcome to contact us via phone, text, or email regarding any questions/concerns about our rescues prior and following adoption. Once a rescue has been selected, we require a questionnaire to be filled out answering questions about current household and pets. We also require a vet reference, which we use to contact the adopter's current vet to ensure they appropriately take care of any current/former animals in their household. Once we feel confident the potential adopter is a safe home for our rescue, we have the adopter sign the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and then they can pick up/we will deliver the rescue to the adopter's residence. Once the adoption has taken place, we like to stay in regular contact with the adopter during the 45-day adjustment period to ensure both the adopter and the rescue are adjusting well. If problems arise during the 45-day period and the adopter cannot/will not keep the rescue cat, we make arrangements to return the rescue cat to us.
