Millie's Story

Millie. Two years old. Where to start? We love her, we want her to have a home. We worry about her. Why? Millie was probably a single kitten. She never learned boundaries, never had to share, was the center of attention. In all honesty, full disclosure, she is a stinker. Millie is beautiful, smart, loving and a brat. She bites, (getting better), and will slap if she doesn't get her way. She is stubborn and determined. Sounds like a prize, right? Well, for the right person this is a once in a lifetime cat. She is very dog-like, always wanting to be in the middle of things. Like her profile picture, she was in the trashcan. She is into everything, with you constantly, checking everything out. We think she is delightful, but not everyone is equipped to deal with Millie. This girl needs a patient human who will work with her, not someone who hits or yells. That is not the way to handle her, and will only cause things to escalate. There should be no children in the house, no other cats. Yes, she is a princess. Yes, she is challenging. Yes, she is worthy of patience and love and a home of her own. Are you out there, unicorn adopter? We told Miss Millie we would try. Maybe we will surprise ourselves and succeed.

UPDATE! Millie is MUCH better about her biting, and has turned out to be a very sweet girl. She still has her moments, but they are few and far between. No sugar-coating, she is not a beginner cat, but every day she is with us she gets calmer and sweeter.
